OUR STORY
Vietnamese and More was founded by Alex Somphone and his Thai wife, Mam, who share a passion for bringing authentic Vietnamese flavors to Bangkok. Together, the duo has crafted a menu inspired by Alex’s Vietnamese-French heritage, using only the finest ingredients. Over the past 10 years, Vietnamese and More has become one of the most beloved Vietnamese restaurants in the city, known for its warm hospitality and unforgettable flavors.
The roots of the dishes served at Vietnamese and More trace back to Alex’s family history. Growing up, Alex learned the art of cooking from his grandmother, an acclaimed palace chef who honed her skills while cooking for Vietnam’s royal family. Her recipes, passed down through generations, now serve as the foundation of the restaurant’s menu.
Beyond the flavors, Vietnamese and More carries on the family tradition of gathering loved ones around hearty, delicious meals. Alex and Mam have made it their mission to bring this same sense of warmth and togetherness to their customers, extending heartfelt hospitality to everyone who walks through their doors.
