In April 2019, Vietnamese and More had the privilege of partnering with Courageous Kitchen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities in Thailand. Together, we conducted cooking classes for the Hmong and refugee communities, using food as a bridge to connect, inspire, and uplift.

During these sessions, we had the joy of teaching participants how to prepare authentic Vietnamese dishes, including our signature fried spring rolls. These classes were more than just a lesson in cooking—they were an opportunity to equip participants with practical skills they could use to support themselves and their families.
Seeing the smiles on their faces and the excitement they brought to the class filled us with happiness and gratitude. Their genuine enthusiasm and the way they embraced the experience reminded us of why we love what we do. The energy and joy we shared during these moments fueled our own passion and strengthened our resolve to continue improving and growing—not just as a restaurant, but as a part of the community.

At Vietnamese and More, we’ve always believed that food has the power to bring people together and create opportunities. Our time with Courageous Kitchen reaffirmed this belief and inspired us to do even more. We are committed to giving back, creating opportunities for others, and being a part of initiatives that make a positive impact.
This experience wasn’t just about teaching—it was about learning from each other, sharing love and hope, and building a future where everyone has a chance to grow and thrive. We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing this journey of community and compassion.
